Ctrip’s new name

China’s biggest online travel agency has changed its name from Ctrip.com International to Trip.com Group in a move to boost overseas expansion and better serve global tourists, the company said yesterday.
Trip.com Group is now the parent company of Trip.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner and Qunar. Trip has 400 million users, 2 million airline routes and 1.4 million hotel partners globally. The name change reflects the company entering a “new stage” as it aims to become the world’s No. 1 online travel agency within five years,
